streaks in your hair were larger than your guitars

weekend thus far has been relatively quiet. went to visit Sarah and Eric in the hospital with their new baby yesterday. little Xander. have never seen a baby that newborn before. he's quite purple and smooshy-faced and cute. and also very soft. i think peaches will feel rough now compared to his feet. O.O;;;

still intend on posting those recipes sometime soon. have been coming up with more, too---keep trying new things and having them turn out quite tastily. am falling in love with molasses and have to fight the urge to keep from using it in everything.

...hrrm, i want to make pad siew all of the sudden. damn, don't have wide rice noodles. don't have any rice noodles, i think. curses, thwarted again! ;.;

hope to post up reviews of the comics i mentioned a couple of entries back. i'll start by saying that Lenore #10 is a lot better than #9 was. which is good, cos #9 was really not so good. #10's worth a look, though. and really, i can't push Hopeless Savages enough. Jill Thompson's Death manga really makes me want to play dressup...must...fight...urge to whip out copious amounts of black liquid eyeliner...XD

Xander Harris. Buffy

I'm sure that Sarah and Eric were thinking of something else when they named their baby, however. XD

I actually like teh babies, but doubt I will be having any. XD

Elva-chan: i think these are wider, actually. more on the order of at least an inch or so wide, possibly 1.5 or even 2 inches, really. they're REALLY wide.

Usagi-chan: yeah, it's very strange to think about, people our age with kids. i s'pose someone's got to own up to the idea that we're (technically) adults, don't they? XDXD

Fionachu: although i myself don't want kids of my own, i'm all for it for other people if it makes them happy and they're ready for it. i don't have a problem with kids---as long as they're someone else's. although it's very weird to think about in general, people our age becoming parents. i suppose someone's got to, though. XD

Wide rice noodles? The white ones that come in rolls and you have to chop them up? The ones with which chow fun is made out of?

janni likes to cook and bake. a lot. but mostly? she likes to sharpen her knives. because a dull knife is a dangerous knife, and we simply can't have that...
