THOM YORKE FLIES AS FAST AS HIS LITTLE SNITCH WINGS CAN CARRY HIM!

audio: (in her head) "love will freak us." missy elliot vs. joy division.

the above is so screwed up, but executed so well. my jaw hit the floor. XD

at any rate, was home sick yesterday. or rather, home exhausted. was STILL (still!) sore after the gardening from last weekend...particularly my right arm, which was being strange and is still slightly tender but mostly back to normal. and had a bit of a sore throat. took this as signs i should probably sleep, so sleep i did. and feel a whole lot better today, thanks very much. XD

but ah...Kristina, argh...Tarkovsky's Solaris...? and Soderbergh is doing a version of it? i STILL have yet to see the Tarkovsky version, but have meant to...i STILL remember Beeru-chan watching it in a Russian cinema class (i think...?) last year and the nightmares she had afterwards...XD (betcha if i mention midgets, apples, and/or horses right here right now she'll twitch halfway around the world still...^.-) weird. very weird.

watched an episode of the new Blue's Clues yesterday whilst home sick...and dude. i really don't know how i feel about Joe replacing Steve. it's very strange. and i wonder how well i'd take it if i were in the intended target audience...but i also don't know how they went about making the transition. i remember reading that Joe was going to be Steve's cousin or brother or something, watching the house and Blue while he was away...? or i could be hallucinating. but anyway, it was weird to see Steve's little Mac house and not see Steve. ;.; and hear all the songs sung...not by Steve. 'cept for one song...the song that's sung when all of Blue's clues have been figured out is completely DIFFERENT now. and not good different, either.

i mentioned this to Spaz last night, and he said, "but Jan, they didn't make the show for you. it's for preschoolers." leading me to respond, poutily, "i knooooooowwww...but...it was better before!" XD

oh well. at least, with Joe and Blue's help, some important lessons were learned yesterday.

1.) Ms. Giraffe is 6 blocks tall.
2.) Mr. Elephant is 5 blocks tall and 4 blocks wide.
3.) Beds and doors, in addition to being animate objects (much like everything else in the show), will follow you home once you've bought them! O.O;;; you don't even have to have someone deliver them! they'll just happily follow you out the door of the store you bought them in and wherever you want to go from there!

wonder what bus fare for a cherrywood wardrobe would be...XD

perhaps more later. ^^

janni likes to cook and bake. a lot. but mostly? she likes to sharpen her knives. because a dull knife is a dangerous knife, and we simply can't have that...

about this layout:
this is acid reflux v. 5.0 of Headphones Save Lives. featuring the ebullient Emperor Chairman Kaga from the fine Fuji TV show Ryori no Tetsujin and seen in the US on the Food Network as Iron Chef. revel in his mastery of bell peppers!
