[addendum: i just realised this...look, the icon above is doing the Kimmie dance! XD]
results of survey about eating beans with george wendt (as already done by Fifichu-chan[whose lovely sister Helena's birthday is today!] and Harpy):
what's on your bedside table?
don't exactly have one. don't have much furniture in my house, although i do allegedly have a house...well, half a house, seeing as i do split mortgage with Spaz. ^.- we sleep in the living room. so there's the coffee table and a bedside box...coffee table, there are black plastic placemats with bats cut out of them, some napkins, and a couple issues of Auto Trader...bedside box, there's my ancient bootleg Sailormoon alarm clock (whose head you have to hit to shut her off...O.O;;;) and Spaz' loud clock radio...
what's the geekiest part of your music collection?
geeky in what sense? indie-geeky, several Guided By Voices 7"s...vain-geeky, tapes of most of the radio shows i did when i was a DJ at Radio DePaul...pathetic-loser-geeky, tapes of concerts as broadcast on TV and taped using the condenser mic on a little dual-cassette-deck boom box cos my family had no VCR and i had no other way to record them...really, this question could be more specific. XD (i could also mention the albums/singles/etc. i've got multiple copies of...in multiple formats...and dude, all the coloured vinyl...^-^ but, er, i won't...XD)
what do you eat when you raid the fridge at night?
i don't really do that very often. usually just passed out asleep, and always with a glass of water on the coffee table so if i get thirsty in the middle of the night, it's right there. but last time i did...had an egg over-easy with the yolk left all runny and delicious to sop up with a slice of wheat toast touched with just a teensy bit of butter. and tea. i think jasmine green tea on that particular occasion...
what is your secret guaranteed weeping movie?
oooh, tough one. i'm not someone who really cries at movies. sometimes True Romance can make me cry, but you wanted guaranteed...er, ah...Grave of the Fireflies can always do it...O.O;;; dunno how "secret" that is, though...i suspect it could have that effect on most people who'd bother to sit through it...
if you could have plastic surgery, what would you have done?
dunno if this qualifies, but the only cosmetic surgery i've ever thought would be a good idea would be to get a few rather nasty chickenpox scars i've got removed. whee, puffy keloid badness. >.<;;;
do you have a completely irrational fear?
i've mostly gotten over it, but when i was little, i had this HUGE fear of being on wooden train platforms. didn't matter whether or not they were raised particularly far above the ground...if i could see through the cracks between the planks, i used to think it was quite possible to fall through those cracks. and get stuck. not just fall to my death...but the getting stuck part was what really worried me. it doesn't so much anymore, but i still probably stare at those cracks more than is healthy if i'm on one of those platforms. but i sorta had to get over it in order to function when i moved back in with my mom in Chicago...XD
what is the little physical habit that gives away your insecure moments?
i probably make some weird facial gesture that i'm not even fully aware of...i don't know! XD
do you ever have to beg?
for what? i suppose i've been known to, on very rare occasion...
do you have too many love interests?
probably not.
do you know anyone famous?
not really. have met people, sure. but i wouldn't say i know them. XD
describe your bed.
it's a western-style futon which sits in our living room and doubles as a couch...we have a loveseat that's also a fold-out bed (sleepovers! XD), but those and the coffee table are pretty much all the real furniture we've got in the house! XD right now it's got black sheets on it, the softest, coolest black blanket in the world, and a Sailormoon comforter...we keep meaning to get a new comforter, cos this one's seen better days...but haven't yet gotten around to it. =P
spontaneous or plan?
a little from column a, a little from column b...
who should play you in a movie about your life?
eep. janeane garofalo? considering that my life would make a really bad movie, that would probably be appropriate. XD
do you know how to play poker?
poker? i hardly even know...oh, the card game. eheheh. XD no, no i don't. XD
what do you carry with you at all times?
CD pouch (complete with portable CD player, too many CDs, random money, train and bus passes, gum, crackstick, and spare rechargeable batteries shoved into various pouches inside it. oh, and my Boostaroo, of course. XD).
how do you drive?
not as well as i'd like, unfortunately. ;.;
what do you miss most about being little?
eep. Fi makes a good point about the skin...mine certainly went to hell once i hit puberty! >.<;;; however, i also really miss the natural colour of my hair when i was little. not sure if it happened when i got that perm i've mentioned here before in 7th grade or sometime afterward during puberty, but my hair changed. it went from a sleek, glossy, endlessly shiny dark brown/black to this flat, nasty, mousey, icky brown. hence, time to dye. not that i dislike how it is now...but if it hadn't changed, i probably would've left it at its natural colour...;.;
are you happy with your given name?
i wasn't, as a child. but now i think i'm fairly happy with it. ^-^
how much money would it take to get you to give up the internet for a year?
put a "k" in that dreaded m-word in the sentence above and you'll have your solution! XD
what colour is your bedroom?
you mean the one we store our clothes, my stuffed animals, CDs, and various boxes in but don't actually sleep in? XD it's a really neat shade of lilac and white. ^-^
what was the last song you were listening to?
er, the dubbed Hamtaro ending theme. XD (ya, ya, ya, ya, ya...ooh la la la!)
have you ever been in a school play?
quite a few, actually. though the one i was actually in in high school was very nearly typecasting. i figured that one out pretty quickly after realising that all of my costuming, props, and even my makeup came directly from my own collection and that no one had to go shopping for me or even use the official school stage makeup kit on me. i'm smart. XD (was a production of The Uninvited, as dramatised by Tim Kelly and adapted from the novel by Dorothy Macardle; i was Miss Holloway. XD)
have you ever been in love?
yes. XD
do you like yourself and believe in yourself?
occasionally? XD
have you ever done any illegal drugs?
perhaps. ^.^
do you think you're cute?
define "cute". XD
do you consider yourself to be a nice person?
sometimes. i wouldn't say always, though. XD
[addendum: eheh. Slime is dead. wheeee! XD]
