NOT KNOWING WHEN TO QUIT...

no, not me. although i've been posting lots of little silly bits today, and i'm sorry. i'll try to stop after this. but each of these things warranted mentioning, and it seemed wrong to nudge them all together into one happy giant entry.

but, er, as if the RIAA weren't already completely out of their minds.

what is the bloody point of disallowing posting of CD covers to an archive? O.O;;;

and how far does this extend?

say you wish to sell something of yours---a perfectly legal copy, obtained by perfectly legal means---either on your own website or via eBay or some other similar place? can you not post up a scan of the item in question so that whoever might be choosing to purchase it from you has some idea of a) what the item in question is, and b) what sort of condition it's in?

and just for personal edification purposes, or to display artwork from things that other people might otherwise not get to see (say, from things that are very difficult to find/out of print/ridiculously expensive/etc.)...it's a crime to allow other people to view it?

can we not let people view our CD collections if they come over to our houses unless they actually own the CD in question, and we have notarised proof that this is the case?

this. is. just. STUPID. even moreso than previous arguments of theirs. this fucking takes the biscuit and secrets it away somewhere, never to be seen again*.

that such a body as the RIAA felt that such inanity required this action utterly beggars belief.

fucktards. >P

* = unlike little Lemmiwinks.

janni likes to cook and bake. a lot. but mostly? she likes to sharpen her knives. because a dull knife is a dangerous knife, and we simply can't have that...
