i'd say that this is unbelievable, but what frightens me more is that it really isn't. not in the current climate of so many things.

sometimes i really wish the world would end so we could be done with fucking each other over (literally and figuratively) so very badly. because WE DON'T FUCKING LEARN. ever. no matter how many times we doom ourselves to repeat the same mistakes in slightly different contexts and with slightly different players---never.

you'd think all the rote memorisation we're forced to do in our years of compulsory education would at least have made the idea stick that if you repeat something enough times, some of it eventually gets beaten into your head.

but evidently, this is not the case.

i'm afraid to ask what's next.
