PUTTING THE "YAKKI" IN OKONOMIYAKI

...mostly with help from Kate-chan. ^^

Fi, here's Kate-chan's Okonomiyaki Recipe.

the only thing i really did differently was that i found this special okonomiyaki flour mix (Nagatenien is the manufacturer, i think) at Mitsuwa last time i went that principally involved the yam flour i mentioned, which made it taste REALLY good. (i did this for two reasons, one being that i wasn't completely happy with how the okonomiyaki turned out when i made it the first time, so i was hoping to maybe learn a little from the special flour. and two, it was on sale. ^^)

as Kate-chan mentions, tempura flour is good too---i don't like plain flour because it tastes too bland for this, i think. the mix i used also involved some sort of shrimp powder, though there was at least one other non-shrimpy variety there. veggies and meats (or lack thereof) are all completely up to your taste---this last batch of mine involved shrimp, corn, carrots, peas, zucchini squash, sweet potato, onion, mushroom, and i forget what else. frozen veggies work well for it, too---try the bagged combinations you can find in your local grocery store. the shrimp i used were frozen, too, and tasted quite good.

too bad i forgot to look for okonomiyaki sauce when i was at Mitsuwa last! though barbecue sauce works quite well...had the last of that leftover okonomiyaki today, and it was very, very yummy. ^^

this is a little late, maybe, but...details of Order of the Phoenix revealed! XD

(my one question is, which Weasel was being hidden?)
